1)~~~~Learning to drive a stick shift in a snazzy red JEEP.
2)~~~~Got another day in the saddle, plus rode a new mule.
3)~~~~Helped some kiddos with the 4-H Horse Projects.
All this said... I've been thinking about life, especially the last year being a Freshman in college. There are things I love about my small town and things that make me happy to have another community at college. But today, God showed me through those 3 main events some key things. 1) Be ready to try something new, learn and be ready to ask questions. That was all from driving a stick, something I was terrified of. 2) Do what you're good at and enjoy. It's the small stuff that add up to make big memories. Expand on what you are good at, to alway improve. I love riding horses, but no matter how much practice I have under my belt riding a new horse/mule always makes me a little wary. I did, with hesitation and ended with success. 3) Give what you were given. Countless people invested in me and my hobby of horses. I wouldn't have my abilities, knowledge, interest, and passion without them. God used someone to bless me, and it's my turn to be a servant and let God use me to bless someone else.
Go and learn from your day. There is a lesson in everything and to everything a blessing.
Just another point in the journey and dream...
